ABOUT ME
I do remember Internet as a mysterious entity.
It had rare portals to our world, called „modems”. You could actually hear bits and bytes in their chirpy, scratchy tones.
Internet was then like an Olympus with its own heroes: Telnet, Gopher, Usenet News… All those beasts were literate, spoke with characters and behaved in accordance with protocols. There was no such thing as World Wide Web. Not yet.
The real world in the end of the former century has been changing rapidly. The Net has been evolving even faster. She soon provided us with lots of graphical content, and even more spam and ads.
Internet is now a vital part of everyday life, for almost everyone. I am proud of my tiny share in this change.
